DESCRIPTION: France, gravity clock, 8 day time only movement with lever platform escapement, balance with self starting device attached to winding pinion, Roman numeral, white enamel dial with Arabic red 15 minute markers, blued steel spade and poker hands, all contained in a weighted mahogany case, wound and driven by a brass rack and pinion, supported on a mahogany stand with turned columns and brass feet, c1900
CONDITION: Case good overall with minor scratches, one repaired break at top of arch, and chip at bottom of left column, split in back section of clock case, 0feet replaced, appears to have had wooden feet originally, sheathing on brass rack with ripples, dial with minor scratches, chip and hairline in enamel at 5:00, hands good, movement with minor scratches, gummy, not running, balance staff ok, regulator broken, 2 movement mounting screws missing, Ht 15"
